Born in 1982 and currently residing in Taoyuan in northern Taiwan, Chang Chih-Hsin is a seasoned writer of narrative reportage, reflective essays, and stories couched in family history. She has published several essay collections, including Away from Home and Back: My United Family, The Ocean I Carry, and The Child in Me, and four novels, two of which, Weave and Siǔ-Moi, were Taiwan Literature Award (TLA) for Books finalists and one of which, Mountain Mirrors, is a 2024 TLA for Books award-winner.
