Helen Wang

Helen Wang is a UK-based translator and editor, especially of children’s books. She has a PhD (Money on the Silk Road) from UCL, and was a curator at the British Museum for many years. Her translations of short stories and essays have appeared in Granta, The Guardian, LARB China Channel and several anthologies. At the moment, she mostly translates children’s books (picture books and middle grade/YA). She co-founded Chinese Books for Young Readers, and has received the Marsh Award for Children’s Literature in Translation, and a Chen Bochui Special Award for translation and increasing the visibility of Chinese children's literature.
