Yi-Chih Wu became a translator by accident. Born in Changhua, Taiwan, and educated at National Taiwan University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison,
she translates from Taiwanese Hokkien and Mandarin into English. With an academic background in human geography and legal history, she specializes in nuanced
translations that require deep cross-cultural understanding. Tan Tsiu-Niu, co-translated with Michelle Kuo, is her first translation.
