Teng Yu is an illustrator and graphic designer. The creator of the independent graphic design brand Paper Travel, Teng masterfully combines geometric color blocks with paper and printing techniques to create engaging characters and visual narratives ; delicate textures and vibrant colors are characteristic of Teng’s work and contribute to its visual richness. Teng’s representative works include the illustrated book Paper Travel: Moving Vistas – Sixty Observations of Taiwan in Motion and the graphic novel Way Back Home. The latter was showcased along with its author in the 2017 Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition. In 2019, Teng was once again selected as an exhibitor in the BCBF Illustrators Exhibition for Challenge the Unknown Fearlessly. Teng won the Bronze Award – Design at the 2024 Golden Butterfly Awards for THAT CITY; OBSESSED with BOXES was selected as an Excellent Work for the 2025 Tokyo TDC Award (Small Graphics Category) and won the 2025 New York ADC Bronze Cube Award – Illustration (Personal Project).
