A high school student loses a year of memories after a car accident and finds she has new friends. When her new boyfriend dies suddenly, she wakes up in the past again. Was the blank year a dream or prophecy? As the year repeats, she must choose – love or fate?
Seventeen-year-old Ke-hsun is dumped by her first love, kicked out of her gifted class, and to top it all off, is involved in an almost fatal car crash. Upon waking, she is shocked to discover a year has passed: her mother is remarried, she has made friends in a regular class at school, and she has even fallen in love with the aloof, straight-A student Shang-huan. With no memory of anything, Ke-hsun struggles to adapt, especially to Shang-huan's overt affection, so different from her past experiences. Thanks to Shang-huan's ever patient care, Ke-hsun finally comes to terms with her current life. But her efforts to move forward and rekindle their previous closeness are abruptly cut short when Shang-huan is struck and killed by a car. Cradling him in her arms and crying, she blacks out. When she opens her eyes again, she finds herself back at the beginning of the previous year.
Everything plays out like an inescapable prophecy. To avoid Shang-huan's death, Ke-hsun tries to distance herself from him, but the difficulty she has adjusting to her new class, coupled with constant provocation from her ex and his new girlfriend, keeps her off-balance. Meanwhile, Shang-huan's acts of tenderness, seemingly done without a second thought, repeatedly touch her heart. When she at last finds the courage to tell him about her prophetic "dream", the two decide to challenge fate.
A Prophecy to Love You is a love story that weaves together youth tried by fate: a hero whose cool exterior conceals his gentleness, a love interest who reveals his vulnerable side and deep affection only to the heroine, the charming contrast of a tough guy who loves cats…aside from these heartwarming details, the fantastical atmosphere of life do-overs, prophecy, and choice adds an additional layer of suspense to this campus romance. When the conclusion seems inevitable, will Ke-hsun still unhesitatingly choose love?
